The result of NEET (UG) – 2019 may be utilized by other entities of
Central/State Governments for admission purpose in accordance with their rules.
Pattern of the Entrance Test:- 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry
Botany & Zoology to be answered in three hours.
Eligibility to appear in NEET (UG) . Class XII (or equivalent) Examination in Science of
an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body with Physics,
Chemistry, Biology /Bio-technology (which shall include practical test in these
subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject. The candidate must have
passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology with a
minimum of 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC)marks taken together.
Age Limit : The lower age limit for NEET (UG) is 17 years and the upper age limit for is
25 years with relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC
category.
Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally
Funded Technical Institutions (CFTI), Institutions funded by participating State
Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class
12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE
(Main). The Paper-1 (B. E. /B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE
(Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the
undergraduate programs offered by the IITs.
The JEE (Main)is conducted twice in a academic year in January and April. The student’s
best of the two scores will be considered for preparation of Merit List/ Ranking.
There is separate examination for admission to around 1200 MBBS seats offered by
15 AIIMS Institutes. It is usually conducted in last week of May or first week of June.
The questions asked in the computer based exam will be from
Physics,Chemistry,Biology,General Knowledge and Aptitude & Reasoning.
